Responsibilities

Quality and Food Safety Supervisor

Nights 7pm-7am Rotate Schedule

 

Quality and Food Safety Supervisor to lead our quality and food safety programs within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for supervising quality assurance personnel, ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that support operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong knowledge of food safety systems, regulatory requirements, and quality management processes. This position plays a critical role in protecting product integrity, supporting customer satisfaction, and maintaining compliance with industry and regulatory standards.

 

Your seat at the table

 

  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and annual quality and food safety training programs.
  • Develop team capabilities through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Ensure employees understand and comply with quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and verify adherence to product specifications through routine audits and inspections.
  • Function as a trained Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI), conducting preventive control verification and validation activities.
  • Support SQF certification requirements.
  • Monitor, support, and enforce all food safety programs, including SQF, AIB, regulatory, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Maintain current knowledge of government regulations, industry standards, and quality assurance best practices.
  • Participate in internal audits, food safety inspections, and third-party audits.

Qualifications

What you bring to the table

  • High school or equivalent degree required; a 4-year bachelor’s degree is preferred 

  • 2+ years of experience in a quality assurance management or supervision role, preferably in the food processing industry. Experience may be used as a substitute for education preferred

  • Sanitation experience is a plus
