Job DetailsJob Location: Burlington, WI 53105Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: DayJob Category: ManufacturingThe Quality Control Inspector ensures that all fabricated steel components meet the required specifications and quality standards. This includes dimensional, weld and coating inspections, as well as ensuring proper documentation throughout the production process. The role supports and maintains inspection records, supports continuous improvement, assists in various quality control training modules and collaborates with production and engineering teams. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Inspect fabricated parts and assemblies for correct dimensions, hole sizes, weld quality, and coating finish.Ensure compliance with quality standards (AISC, AWS), job specifications and blueprints. Document inspections, assist with all Nonconformance Reports (NCR’s) and Engineering change requests (ECR’s) and report nonconformities to the Quality Manager and Production Supervisor. Make site visits to inspect outsourced fabrication when required Support training and improvement of quality procedures. Inspect incoming materials for conformance to purchase orders and specifications Assist with material handling and movement of parts as needed Other duties as assigned SAFETY REQUIREMENTS Must perform all duties in accordance with all safety rules and procedures. Identify and report unsafe acts and unsafe conditions to management immediately. Correct unsafe conditions wherever possible.   QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 3+ years of experience in steel fabrication quality inspection Strong blueprint reading and weld evaluation skills Familiarity with AWS/AISC standards and DFT measurement Ability to travel up to 20% of the time Overhead crane and forklift experience a plus Effective communication and documentation skills Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent required Technical training in welding or quality preferred   MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Perform basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide) Work with fractions, decimals, and measurement conversions Understand tolerances and interpret precision measurements Apply basic geometry for layout and inspection tasks   American Bin and Conveyor offers employees and their families a comprehensive benefit package to ensure their personal and family’s overall health and wellness needs are met.
