Compensation: On-Target Earnings (base compensation + bonus) $85,000–$105,000 per year, inclusive of a 5% target bonus, measured and paid quarterly 
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. 
Location: Calabasas, CA | Hybrid – minimum 3 days/week onsite 

Join Our Accounting Team 

Poms & Associates is looking for a Senior Accountant – Corporate to join our Accounting team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys digging into the details while also seeing the bigger financial picture. You'll play an important role in financial reporting, monthly close, account reconciliations, budgeting and forecasting, and continuous improvement of accounting processes and controls. 

What You'll Do 

  • Prepare schedules and supporting documentation to support timely and accurate financial reporting. 

  • Support monthly close activities and maintain and reconcile financial accounts. 

  • Contribute to the development of budgets and forecasts. 

  • Analyze financial data, identify trends or discrepancies, and provide insights to senior management. 

  • Support annual audit and tax-related activities. 

  • Review accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls and recommend opportunities for improvement. 

  • Partner with internal stakeholders and support special accounting and financial projects as needed. 

What You'll Bring 

  • Education and experience of either: 

  • a) Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with at least two years of public accounting or 

  • b) Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with three years of in progressive private/corporate accounting roles, or  

  • c) an undergraduate degree and at least 5 years in progressive private/corporate accounting roles. 

  • Working knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles. 

  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy. 

  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities, work independently, and consistently meet deadlines. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, and accounting systems.
