Manager: Chief Business Officer
The Gist
As we scale up, we need someone to run the day-to-day HR engine — onboarding, record keeping, employee support, all of it. This is a hands-on, high-volume role for someone who genuinely likes getting the details right: clean data, compliant files, and new hires who feel taken care of from day one.
What You’ll Do
• Run onboarding start to finish for hourly new hires — offer handoffs, background checks, paperwork, orientation, badges/equipment, and day-one readiness
• Own I-9/E-Verify completion and reverification, and keep files audit-ready at all times
• Handle offboarding, including final pay timing, system deactivations, and exit paperwork
• Keep employee records and personnel files accurate and confidential across the company
• Process HRIS transactions with a high bar for accuracy
• Prepare employment verifications and required documentation
• Be a first point of contact for HR questions — benefits, pay, PTO, policies, onboarding, and more
• Support day-to-day immigration casework with outside counsel
What We’re Looking For
Must-haves:
• 2–4+ years in People Operations, HR administration, or HR coordination
• Hands-on experience with I-9/E-Verify and employee recordkeeping
• HRIS experience with strong data-entry accuracy
• Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
• A clear, friendly communicator who can support anyone
Nice-to-haves:
• Insperity experience
• Curiosity about robots and the entertainment industry
