About Us
Our company is on a mission to reduce food waste and make high-quality, affordable food accessible to everyone. Through our innovative app-based marketplace, we connect shoppers with discounted perishable items while helping retailers turn would-be waste into revenue and meaningful environmental impact. We’re growing quickly across North America and partnering with retailers of all sizes to expand our reach.

If you’re passionate about creating real change for people and the planet, we’d love for you to join us. Your work here will directly contribute to a mission that helps families save money, reduces waste, and builds a more sustainable future.

The Role and Context

This is the senior finance role and reports to the CFO. You'll own financial planning, drive capital markets activity, and function as a genuine business partner to functional leads across the company – embedded in their operating rhythms, not just parachuting in at reporting time. You'll manage a data analyst and work closely with accounting/finops, BizOps, and the CEO.

The person for this role is as comfortable in a quarterly business review with the CRO as they are building a 3-statement forecast model. Results matter here — this role is expected to influence outcomes, not just measure them.

We've been at this for 10 years, partnering with major North American retailers across thousands of stores and millions of shoppers, continuously refining a model with strong unit economics and real flywheel dynamics. We're growth stage, well-capitalized by leading investors including General Catalyst and S2G, and at an inflection point in scale.

What You'll Do

  • Annual plan, rolling forecast, and monthly variance analysis – your analysis and commentary makes the story, it doesn’t just report the news
  • Regular operating cadence with function leads across revenue, marketing, product, and ops – translating financial performance into actionable insights and holding the business accountable
  • Board and investor reporting – financial packages, narratives, and follow-ups
  • Capital raise process – data room, investor materials, model, and diligence support end-to-end
  • Ongoing investor relations – existing investor updates, relationship management, and information rights compliance
  • Analysis across key topics such as partner economics, pricing strategy, sell-through, market expansion, and cohort performance
  • Analyses that support topics including partner pricing strategy, sell-through performance, market expansion, and revenue optimization, unit economics and platform analytics – GMV, take rate, partner-level performance, cohort analysis
  • Managing and developing an analyst

What You'll Bring

  • 7–10 years across finance, investment banking, consulting, or a combination — with meaningful time inside a high-growth tech or platform business
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity
  • Proven ability to execute and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
  • A strong financial modeler with a track record of driving business outcomes through finance partnership
  • Experience central to a capital raise
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills — able to translate numbers into narrative for different audiences
  • A high level of ownership and accountability
  • Comfort working cross-functionally and balancing competing priorities as a true thought partner to the CFO, CEO, and leaders across the company
  • Experience with marketplace, B2B SaaS, or platform business models

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary, equity, and comprehensive benefits
  • 100% remote work with flexibility and trust
  • Mission-driven work that reduces food waste and expands access to affordable food
  • A fast-growing, collaborative team with big ambitions
  • Real opportunities for career growth
