The Learning Experience – Canton is hiring a passionate Preschool Lead Teacher to create a classroom where children are excited to learn, explore, create, and grow.
As a Lead Teacher, you’ll take ownership of your classroom while helping preschoolers strengthen their early academic skills, independence, confidence, and friendships in preparation for kindergarten and beyond.
What You’ll Do
- Â Lead a positive, structured, and engaging Preschool classroomÂ
-  Implement The Learning Experience’s proprietary L.E.A.P. CurriculumÂ
- Â Create hands-on experiences supporting early literacy, math, science, creativity, and social-emotional learningÂ
- Â Encourage independence, communication, problem-solving, and kindergarten-readiness skillsÂ
- Â Maintain consistent routines and positive classroom guidanceÂ
-  Observe children’s development and maintain classroom documentationÂ
- Â Build meaningful relationships and communicate regularly with familiesÂ
- Â Guide and collaborate with Assistant TeachersÂ
- Â Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroomÂ
- Â Follow Michigan childcare licensing requirementsÂ
What We’re Looking For
- Â High School Diploma or GED requiredÂ
- Â Previous professional preschool or early childhood teaching experience strongly preferredÂ
- Â Lead Teacher experience preferredÂ
- Â CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, or related credentials are a plusÂ
- Â Strong classroom leadership and communication skillsÂ
- Â Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practicesÂ
- Â Must meet applicable Michigan childcare licensing requirementsÂ
