Toddler Lead Teacher – Early Childhood Education
The Learning Experience – Canton, MI
Pay: $17–$20 per hour, based on experience and credentials

The Learning Experience – Canton is looking for an enthusiastic Toddler Lead Teacher who loves working with busy, curious little learners.
Toddlers are developing language, independence, confidence, and social skills at an incredible pace. You’ll create a structured and nurturing classroom that gives children plenty of opportunities to explore, move, communicate, and learn.
What You’ll Do
- Lead daily routines and learning experiences in a Toddler classroom
- Implement The Learning Experience’s proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum
- Create hands-on activities supporting language, movement, creativity, and exploration
- Encourage independence and positive social-emotional development
- Support meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, outdoor play, and transitions
- Maintain consistent routines and positive classroom guidance
- Observe children’s development and support individual milestones
- Communicate regularly with families
- Guide and collaborate with Assistant Teachers
- Follow Michigan childcare licensing requirements
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous professional toddler, daycare, preschool, or childcare experience strongly preferred
- Lead classroom experience is a plus
- CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Patient, energetic, nurturing, and dependable
- Must meet applicable Michigan childcare licensing requirements
