Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Entry Screening in Carol Stream, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help maintain a welcoming, controlled environment by screening visitors, managing access, and communicating professionally with employees and guests. You will remain visible, respond to security-related concerns, and help deter incidents through attentive service. Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel at a technology and logistics location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access-screening requirements.
• Screen visitors, contractors, packages, and deliveries according to site policies; verify authorization and direct individuals to appropriate check-in locations.
• Monitor entry points, visitor activity, and screening equipment; report unusual activity, prohibited items, and access concerns according to established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated business areas and perimeter locations, documenting observations and reporting maintenance or security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
