Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Casino Fandango - CARSON CITY, NV 89701Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: AnyJob Category: OtherJob Description: As Surveillance Observer you act as the oversight agent for management and customers of this casino. You will monitor all casino floor, cage, and restaurants as well as all the cameras located outside and in the back of the house. You will provide daily written activity reports, to include any violations, and suspicious activities to the manager. You will be supporting the Surveillance department to make sure the casino assets are safe and secure. Job Requirements: Protect the company’s best interest. Monitor the current activity in and around the casino. Review video tapes of recent activity to research matters at hand. Use your discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential issues. Work independently and unsupervised. Pay attention to the smallest of details is a crucial function in this position. Accurately make and log reports for the department manager. Discuss performance, complaints, or violations of any rules/procedures with the Manager. Due to evolving changes the observer will be required to handle any job/detail outside of the everyday routine.  Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures. Maintain an open line of communication with Management. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guest, fellow team members, and vendors. Other duties as assigned. QualificationsEducation and Experience: Must be at least 21 years of age. High School Diploma and/or GED is mandatory. Previous experience with digital surveillance equipment is preferred. Must have the basic understanding of gaming rules, regulations and how players can cheat. Must have the basic and clear understanding in Table Games and Slots. Additional Requirements: The ability to read and recognize abnormal body language. The ability to maintain composure in a potentially stressful environment. The ability to successfully interact with all levels of team members and management. Must possess strong computer skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, with variable overtime mandatory as assigned. Do not fraternize with others outside this department. Stay off the casino floor to keep your anonymity. Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
