About the Role

At Rocket EMS, we manufacture high-reliability printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) for leading technology companies. As a Stockroom Clerk, you will help ensure that electronic components and materials are accurately stored, controlled, and issued to production.

You will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, pulling components for work orders, preparing complete production kits, and completing material transactions within our ERP/MRP system. This position requires strong attention to detail because accurate part numbers, quantities, lot codes, date codes, and material traceability are essential to our PCBA manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Store and organize electronic components, bare printed circuit boards, hardware, and other production materials in designated stockroom locations.

  • Pull components and materials for production work orders using bills of materials, pick lists, and kit requirements.

  • Prepare complete and accurate material kits for SMT, through-hole, mechanical assembly, and other PCBA production areas.

  • Verify part numbers, quantities, manufacturer information, lot codes, date codes, and other traceability information before issuing materials.

  • Accurately record material receipts, issues, transfers, returns, and location changes in the ERP/MRP system.

  • Maintain proper identification and segregation of customer-owned inventory, consigned materials, nonconforming materials, and controlled components.

  • Follow ESD, moisture-sensitive device (MSD), and other special handling requirements for electronic components.

  • Monitor component packaging, moisture-barrier bags, desiccants, humidity indicator cards, and floor-life controls when applicable.

  • Return unused components from completed work orders to their proper stockroom locations and complete all required inventory transactions.

  • Investigate and report shortages, quantity discrepancies, incorrect part numbers, damaged packaging, or missing traceability information.

  • Support cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliation activities.

  • Maintain accurate bin locations and ensure materials are clearly labeled, protected, and stored appropriately.

  • Follow FIFO and other established inventory-rotation requirements.

  • Coordinate with Production Control, Purchasing, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to resolve material shortages and kitting issues.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure stockroom environment.

  • Follow all company procedures related to material handling, inventory control, ESD protection, and workplace safety.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant technical training preferred.

  • At least one year of stockroom, inventory control, material handling, or warehouse experience, preferably in electronics or PCBA manufacturing.

  • Experience pulling materials for work orders and preparing production kits is strongly preferred.

  • Familiarity with electronic-component part numbers, bills of materials, lot and date-code traceability, and component packaging is preferred.

  • Knowledge of ESD controls and moisture-sensitive device handling is highly desirable.

  • Experience using barcode scanners, labeling systems, and ERP/MRP software is preferred.

  • Basic proficiency with Excel, Word, email, and other computer applications.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately count and verify small electronic components.

  • Ability to read and follow work-order instructions, pick lists, bills of materials, and stockroom procedures.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with production and materials teams.

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.

Pay Range
$18—$22 USD
