POSITION SUMMARY

The main purpose of the Facility Technician II role is to assist in the maintenance, inspection, repair in the plant as well as the building’s operations system as a Facility Technician in training.


RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Maintains plant and building equipment through periodic inspections and cleaning as directed.
  • repairing equipment as necessary to include responding to emergency work orders.
  • interpret blueprints and schematic drawings to determine repair problems.
  • fabricating equipment as required to include the associated welding, cutting, and drilling activities.
  • Communicates timely progress reports on maintenance work orders. Enters time and components on facility work orders.
  • Communicates with the Supervisor/Lead and other personnel as required in conjunction with maintenance and/or repair projects.
  • Follows instructions/procedures as directed by Supervisor/Lead
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and update CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and environmental standards
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and support off-shift coverage as required
  • All other duties assigned.

REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)

  • Experience maintaining plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems
  • Knowledge of the materials, methods and practices used in electronic and manufacturing maintenance including interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Knowledge of related safety requirements to include proper use of safety equipment and proper safety precautions.
  • Ability to perform routine manufacturing facilities activities.
  • Ability to operate general office equipment including maintenance related applications on a microcomputer.
  • Ability to understand and follow routine oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)

  • Graduation from high school or GED plus at least 2-3 of related technical training or related job experience.
  • Must have a Valid DL and be insured with active insurance coverage

TOOL REQUIRMENTS

Basic hand tools such as but not limited to Drill/Driver, screwdrivers, pliers, channel locks, hammer, crescent wrench will be used daily. Bigger tools and most power tools will be provided on site.
