Job Description

As a Security Guard Unarmed Shopping Mall Patrol in Nottingham, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to visitors, tenants, and staff. Pay Rate: $18.70 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, parking areas, exterior perimeter, and/or vacant spaces, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, property conditions, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel, while maintaining accurate activity and incident documentation.
• Assist with access control, visitor directions, and traffic or parking-related concerns as assigned, while maintaining a professional presence at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
