Job Overview:
The CAD Technician role is responsible for creating 2 Dimensional drawing packages and ordering the corresponding tooling and fixture. A portion of the responsibilities will include assisting with Engineering Change Notices, interacting with suppliers, and working with production to set up tooling. The CAD Technician role will focus on growing their drafting skills in an electrical component manufacturing setting.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Creation of production drawings and managing the tool ordering process.
- Support product design, product development, and production improvement efforts.
- Generate artwork files for assembly fixtures, laser drill software program, and lithography mask design.
- Maintain revision control within SharePoint and Autodesk Vault
- Provide manufacturing support, as needed.
- Generate process routers in ORACLE.
- Generate inspection templates using UniPoint.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Practical knowledge of AutoCAD Mechanical with a minimum of 3 years of applicable hands-on experience (Drafting, Machine Shops, Commercial 3D Printing, Trade School, etc.)
- Ability to analyze and interpret engineering drawings & specifications
- Knowledge of polyline, hatch, boundary, block, insert, dimension, offset, viewport, scale, stretch, and trim commands in AutoCAD
- Understand the use of viewports, workspaces, layer manager, and drawing properties in AutoCAD.
- Effective time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized
- Product design or manufacturing experience is preferred
- Practical knowledge of Printed Circuit Board design or Electronic Assembly experience is preferred.
