Job Duties and Responsibilities:

To provide a clean, healthy, and safe environment for customers and team members, maintain a good public relation with customers and team members, while enhancing safety and providing a source of information for customers.

 

House Policies and Procedures 

The following statements are intended as general examples of the duties of this position and are not all-inclusive for specific positions. Other reasonable duties may and will be assigned.

 

Within the realm of the responsibility of the job, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and perform duties in compliance with safety procedures, which include the use of safety equipment.  Incumbents are responsible for following safety procedures, identifying unsafe practices or conditions, and informing their supervisor or the Safety Committee of unsafe conditions, as directed.  Maintain all required Hazardous Products information sheets.

 

1.     Maintain good public relations with CUSTOMERS and TEAM MEMBERS while enhancing safety and providing a source of information for customers.

2.     Cleans, sanitizes and maintains CUSTOMERS and TEAM MEMBER's restrooms, ensuring they are stocked with personal products.

3.     Cleans, sweeps, and mops all stairwells, as needed.

4.     Removes all trash continuously throughout the casino (i.e., floors between slot machines, and trash receptacles).

5.     Operates and maintains various cleaning equipment. Provides TEAM MEMBERS with cleaning equipment and premixed chemicals as required.

6.     Ability to understand and follow SDS guidelines for different chemicals. 

7.     Cleans and maintains the outside appearance of the casinos including some snow removal, as requested.

8.     Cleans, polishes, waxes, dusts, and maintains all woodwork, windows, slot machines, elevators, wall fixtures, and televisions, as scheduled or requested.

9.     Cleans employee break room area including dusting, vacuuming, and removing trash, as scheduled, or requested.

10.   Perform other duties, including special projects, which could include hotel rooms, as needed, and directed.

11.   Communicates and maintains performance standards for interaction with Customers and acts effectively to anticipate reduce or eliminate complaints from customers.

12.   Coordinates porter operations with other departments to establish and maintain cooperative inter-departmental relations and acts to improve work relationships and exchange ideas.

13.   Attendance:  reports to work as scheduled, on time, and ready to work.

Essential duties involve performing physical exertion, walking, climbing stairs, stooping, bending, stretching, squatting, upper torso twisting, reaching, and standing for up to 12-hour shifts with standard breaks.   Essential duties require periodic lifting of 25 to 75 pounds from the floor to waist to waist to shoulder; using standard cleaning chemicals with citrus acid-base; working any day of the week; and all shifts of the day.
