Centralia / Tumwater, WA
Full Time | $30–$60+ Per Hour, Depending on Ability

Lead Great Projects. Build a Career You’re Proud Of.

Cascade Fence & Deck is looking for an experienced builder who is ready to lead a fence crew and take ownership of their projects.

We’ve been building high-quality outdoor projects since 1997, and our Tumwater location is entering its next stage of growth. We need ambitious, capable people who want to help us build something great—not just show up, put in their hours, and go home.

You don’t need to know every detail of our system on day one. You do need construction experience, strong leadership instincts, pride in your work, and the ability to keep a crew moving.

Our mission is to create a company we all like to work for, and every employee plays a role in making that happen. We work hard, hold each other accountable, and still make room for family, hunting, fishing, sports, and life outside of work.

The Role

As a Fence Crew Foreman, you will lead a two- to three-person crew building high-quality residential fence projects throughout the Olympia, and surrounding areas.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading and developing your crew
  • Reviewing project plans and preparing for each job
  • Communicating with the project manager and homeowner
  • Keeping projects productive, organized, and on schedule
  • Solving jobsite challenges without needing constant direction
  • Making sure the customer is happy with the finished product

We provide the trucks, trailers, tools, equipment, and support you need to succeed.

What We’re Looking For

The right person will:

  • Have solid construction OR fence-building experience
  • Know how to lead people and set the pace on a jobsite
  • Take pride in quality, efficiency, and clean jobsites
  • Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers
  • Be dependable and accountable
  • Be comfortable working outdoors year-round
  • Have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record (needs to be insurable)
  • Want to continue learning and increasing their value

Specific fence experience is preferred, but we’re open to strong construction leaders from related trades who are willing to learn our systems.

This Role Might Not Be for You If:

  • You need someone constantly telling you what to do next
  • You blame the plans, customer, crew, or weather when something goes wrong
  • You sacrifice quality to finish faster—or productivity in the name of perfection
  • You don’t enjoy leading and developing other people
  • You aren’t comfortable communicating with homeowners
  • You’re looking for an easy, low-accountability construction job

The work is physical and fast-paced. You’ll lift heavy materials, dig holes, solve problems, and work outside in Washington weather. We work hard, but we also make sure good performance is recognized and rewarded.

Compensation and Benefits

  • $30–$60+ per hour, depending on demonstrated ability and value
  • Clear opportunities to increase your pay as your skills and responsibilities grow
  • Approximately 45–50 hours per week
  • Overtime pay for all hours over 40
  • Optional Saturday work when available—never mandatory
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance fully paid for you and your family
  • Two to three weeks of paid time off per year, earned on an accrual basis
  • Company-paid phone plan for qualifying positions
  • Company trucks, tools, and equipment provided
  • Home every night
  • Opportunities to advance into project management, training, operations, or other leadership roles
