General Overview:Â Â The Assistant Store Manager will be responsible for co-leading the opening of the all-new Rawlings Brand Store in Chandler, AZ, and setting the process to ensure an outstanding customer and Rawlings Sales Associate experience. Â The person in this role, will identify potential operational, associate and customer issues to initiate associate and customer centric solutions. Â Lastly, he/she will be held accountable for ensuring day-to-day guidelines are followed within the store, including safety, customer service, loss prevention and cash handling policies and procedures. Â Â

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Leads associates to provide exceptional customer service.
- Motivates and inspires associates to greater performance, exceeding sales, margin, and customer service goals.
- Empowers and Engages associates to challenge current performance and initiate continual improvement.
- Self-Development - Utilizes Rawlings Learning Platform and associates to become a product expert and visionary leader.
- Develop and Coach - Mentors associates to become product specialists, sales experts, and future leaders. Â Drives results through people development,Â
- Ensures merchandising presentation excellence that upholds Rawlings standards
- Participates in the recruiting, interviewing and hiring for hourly associates.Â
- Celebrates associate successes - Coaches coworkers for continual improvement. Â Issues appropriate counseling and corrective action to those associates who fail to meet our performance standards.Â
- Ensures compliance to all guidelines involved with safety, loss prevention and cash handling procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.Â

 Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Experience and Education Required:
Â
- High School diploma required; Bachelor ’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of retail leadership experience required.
- Sporting Goods experience strongly preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal/communication skills
- Passion for leading and developing others. Â
- Possesses the drive to exceed expectations.
- Initiative to seek out business and people growth opportunities.
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office- Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Flexible availability, including weekends, nights and holidays
