Job Description

 

The Associate Biomechanical Engineer is an early-career engineering role within DELTA |v|’s Accident Reconstruction (ARC) and Biomechanics team. This position supports senior engineers in the investigation, analysis, and reconstruction of motor vehicle crashes, providing technical expertise through a combination of fieldwork and in-office analysis. Associate Biomechanical Engineers apply engineering principles, emerging technologies, and analytical tools to document accident scenes, evaluate vehicle dynamics, and support the development of clear, science-based conclusions.


This role is well suited for engineers who are highly detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and eager to grow within a collaborative forensic engineering environment. This opportunity involves some regional travel. The candidate must enjoy working in a high-energy environment and being outdoors. 


Skills and Qualifications

 

  • Ph.D. (preferred) or M.S. in Engineering (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering) with an emphasis on Injury Biomechanics.
  • Knowledge in the areas of:
    • Biomechanics
    • Injury Causation
    • Injury Threshold
  • Experience in the use of CAD, FE modeling, and computational simulation is highly desired
  • Available to travel regionally
  • Comfortable working on a team and in a collaborative space
  • Positive attitude full of commitment and a desire to contribute both to the company and our Biomechanics service offerings
  • Ability and desire to learn
