CDL-A Driver Recruiting Specialist

HIRING AREA: NATIONWIDE — U.S. applicants may be considered for current driver-recruiting opportunities.

Truck Driver Nation is reviewing applicants for CDL-A driver recruiting opportunities supporting trucking and transportation operations nationwide.

This position focuses on identifying qualified commercial drivers, reviewing their experience and qualifications, matching them with appropriate driving opportunities, and maintaining consistent follow-up throughout the recruiting process.

Responsibilities

  • Review incoming CDL-A driver applications
  • Contact and pre-screen prospective drivers
  • Review CDL experience, equipment background, endorsements, driving history, and operating preferences
  • Match qualified drivers with appropriate opportunities
  • Maintain accurate candidate records
  • Follow up with applicants throughout the recruiting process
  • Assist qualified candidates with application and onboarding steps
  • Coordinate orientation information when applicable
  • Maintain relationships with qualified drivers for future openings

Qualifications

Previous CDL driver recruiting experience is preferred, but applicants with relevant trucking, transportation, recruiting, staffing, sales, or customer-service experience may also be considered.

Strong candidates should have:

  • Professional phone and written communication skills
  • Basic computer and applicant-tracking skills
  • Strong organization and follow-through
  • Ability to manage multiple candidates
  • Understanding of the trucking industry
  • Familiarity with DOT/FMCSA driver qualifications is a plus
