The Housekeeping/Laundry Attendant’s goal is to create a clean and orderly environment for our members and staff that is a critical factor in maintaining and strengthening our reputation. The primary responsibility will be to perform a variety of facility cleaning and laundry assignments such as sweeping, mopping, light dusting, sorting, washing, drying, pressing, and folding table linens.
Essential Functions:
Clean, maintain, and stock all facilities with adequate supplies such as the Housekeeping areas, Clubhouse, Pool Complex, Family Center, Porch, Golf House, etc.
Clean, maintain, and stock member and employee restrooms with toiletries, feminine products, and hand towels
Ensure the employee break room is cleaned and stocked daily
Operate washers, dryers, press, and towel folders
Sort, wash, dry, fold, and press table linens
Pick up dirty table linen from various outlets on the Club campus
Deliver and organize clean table linen to the Linen Room
Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and company related practices
Keep the Director of Facilities informed when facility supplies and chemical solutions for the laundry equipment are running low
Learn the proper procedures for operating and reporting problems for all equipment and machines when they arise
Inform the Director of Facilities when table linens are damaged and need to be replaced
Additional duties as assigned
Availability from 6:00am -2:30pm. Schedule subject to change based on Club events. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications:
Background housekeeping/ Laundry or in hospitality strongly preferred
Experience with cleaning detergents and laundering equipment
Strong communication skills
Excellent teamwork and service required
High attention to detail
Must have a positive attitude, self- starter and motivated
Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high performance standards
Ability to operate a golf cart to transport linens
Ability to complete annual online training courses
Ability to tolerate all seasonal indoor & outdoor weather conditions
Lifting Requirements
Must be able to regularly lift 35 pounds
Must be able and eligible to drive a maintenance golf cart
Hours & Schedule:
This is an hourly, full-time position. Must be available from 6:30 am to 3 pm. Schedule is subject to change based on Club events. Must also be available to work weekends and holidays.
