POSITION DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Pricing Manager will be responsible for elevating how Solve approaches value, margin and competitive pricing and positioning. Through engagement and cross-departmental collaboration, the ideal candidate will architect a modern pricing framework, enabling scalable growth and improved profitability. The Pricing Manager will flex their leadership skills, by managing and developing a team of Proposal & Pricing Specialists and together will be responsible for quoting and pricing execution while driving broader strategic initiatives. In this role, the ideal candidate will lean into their strong communication skills, working hand-in-hand with Sales and company leadership, while converting complex storylines into executive-level summaries.  The Pricing Manager will operate with a continuous improvement mindset, always identifying opportunities to master their craft by following industry trends related to evolving pricing tools, data quality and reporting capabilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Build a long-term pricing roadmap that incorporates segmentation, value-based pricing and customer profitability analysis
  • Lead pricing strategy for new products, market expansions and strategic accounts
  • Develop, train and mentor the Proposal & Pricing Team, ensuring timely, accurate and strategically aligned quotes are being delivered
  • Conduct ongoing market intelligence on current price points leveraging competitive, distributor, and industry organization insights to inform pricing decisions
  • Work with Product Management to set market pricing (PPIF) using competitive and distributor intelligence
  • Partner with the Sales Team to shape deal strategy, including contract pricing, rebates, and volume-based programs
  • Collaborate with Finance to model pricing scenarios, cost changes and margin impacts
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve profitability, including SKU rationalization, cost-to-serve analysis, and discount optimization, as well as leading annual pricing reviews and generate annual price increases
  • Implement pricing governance, approval thresholds, and margin-protection mechanisms
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or related field
  • 5+ Years of pricing, commercial strategy, or financial analysis experience in industrial manufacturing and distribution
  • 3+ years managing people
  • Strong product and industry acumen
  • Strong analytical and modeling skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient in ERP operating systems (ideally P21/Epicor)
  • Experience leading and managing projects
