- Plan, manage and develop the company's tax process and compliance-related activities
- Deliver a full range of tax and advisory services
- Manage and support members of the accounting and tax teams
- Research, organize and review client tax documentation
- Delegate projects to appropriate team members
- Review the work of team members and peers and provide feedback
- Track reporting deadlines for clients and manage filing of extensions and estimates when applicable
- Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments and create strategies to  capitalize on changes to tax legislation and educate team members and clients
- Consult with clients regarding various tax and accounting matters
- Perform research on tax and accounting topics as required
- Develop tax plans for individual and business clients
- Assist with in-house training for professional team members
- Bachelor's/Master’s degree in accounting/TaxÂ
- Certified Public Accountant (required)
- 4- 10 years experience in public accounting
- State and local tax experience is preferredÂ
- Recent experience managing tax engagementsÂ
- Up-to-date working knowledge of U.S. accounting, tax principles & IRS regulationsÂ
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Proactive individual with the ability to work independently and collaborativelyÂ
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Curiosity/eagerness to learn and to teach and share knowledgeÂ
- Analytical problem-solving abilitiesÂ
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (required)
- Experience with QuickBooks & QuickBooks Online (required)Â
- Experience with CCH/Axcess – Tax, Scan/Autoflow, Workflow, Document, Engagement (preferred)
