Student Success Class Checkers

UVA Athletics Student Success seeks Student Success Class Checkers to support student-athletes in their academic success.

We are seeking dependable and attentive Class Checkers to monitor and record class attendance. The ideal candidate would follow a schedule of classes to check student-athlete attendance and provide a welcoming environment.

Daily Job Responsibilities:

• Arrive promptly to designated class location and stay for designated time
• Monitor and record class attendance of designated student-athletes
• Report accurate attendance information on database
• Comply with all NCAA and ACC rules and regulations
• Commit to following the UVA Honor Code
• Communicate professionally with all students and staff

Qualifications

• Current UVA student enrolled full time
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain professional and attentive
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
• Ability to follow all UVA, ACC and NCAA guidelines
• Federal work study student encouraged to apply
• Position Compensation: $15 hourly
• Location: various UVA buildings/classrooms

• Education: Current UVA student. Candidates will be in their second year of undergraduate or above.

• Licensure: None

Physical Demands

This job does involve traveling between spaces. All shifts will take place in person.
