Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides skilled nursing care that promotes resident health, safety, dignity, and quality of life. As a key member of the interdisciplinary team, the RN assesses resident needs, develops and implements individualized care plans, administers medications and treatments, and provides clinical leadership to ensure exceptional resident outcomes. This full-time day shift position offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with residents while making a lasting impact every day.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor changes in residents' health status. 
  • Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions in accordance with physician orders and evidence-based practice. 
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized resident care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team. 
  • Supervise and support Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to ensure high-quality resident care. 
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, residents, families, and other healthcare professionals regarding resident care and treatment plans. 
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation. 
  • Respond appropriately to changes in resident condition, emergencies, and clinical concerns. 
  • Promote infection prevention, resident safety, and regulatory compliance. 
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff education, and interdisciplinary care conferences.

Requirements

 

Required Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of West Virginia. 
  • Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain within required timeframe). 
  • Strong knowledge of nursing assessment, medication administration, and clinical decision-making. 
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational abilities. 
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team. 
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care. 
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting up to 50 pounds, prolonged standing and walking, bending, pushing, pulling, and assisting residents with mobility and daily care needs. 

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or post-acute care. 
  • Experience leading or supervising nursing teams. 
  • Knowledge of Medicare, CMS regulations, infection prevention, and quality improvement practices. 
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and clinical documentation systems. 
  • Strong clinical judgment and the ability to prioritize multiple resident care needs in a fast-paced environment.
