The Opportunity
As a Shift Manager, you’ll help lead the restaurant during your assigned shifts and make sure our customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience every time they visit.
You’ll work alongside crew members and other leaders to keep the restaurant running safely, efficiently, and profitably while creating an environment where people can do their best work.
What You’ll Do
As a Shift Manager, your responsibilities may include:
- Leading and motivating the crew during your shift
- Providing excellent customer service and ensuring a great customer experience
- Coaching employees and providing feedback to help them succeed
- Supporting new employee training and ongoing development
- Ensuring food is prepared safely, accurately, and according to McDonald’s standards
- Maintaining high standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness
- Monitoring food safety and restaurant safety procedures
- Managing inventory and minimizing waste
- Ensuring the restaurant is clean, organized, and properly maintained
- Communicating important information to the next shift and restaurant leadership
- Helping achieve sales, service, productivity, and profitability goals
- Supporting scheduling and staffing needs
- Addressing customer and employee concerns professionally
- Following security and cash-handling procedures
- Helping identify opportunities to improve the restaurant and the team
- Stepping in wherever needed to help the restaurant have a successful shift
What We’re Looking For
You don't have to have years of restaurant management experience to join our leadership team.
We're looking for someone who:
- Enjoys working with and leading people

- Communicates clearly and professionally
- Can make decisions and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
- Is comfortable giving direction and coaching others
- Leads by example and treats people with respect
- Is organized and able to manage multiple priorities

- Has a flexible schedule and can work a variety of shifts
Previous leadership experience in restaurant, retail, hospitality, or another customer-focused environment is preferred, but we are willing to develop the right person.
Must be 18 years of age or older.

Physical Requirements
This is an active leadership position. You must be able to:
- Remain on your feet and physically active for at least 5 hours at a time
- Walk, stand, bend, reach, and move throughout the restaurant during a shift
- Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Work in a fast-paced environment
- Work indoors and outdoors as needed
