Responsibilities

We're looking for an Event Specialist who thrives on turning ideas into memorable, high-impact events that strengthen relationships, elevate our brand, and support business growth.  You'll own the end-to-end execution of a diverse portfolio of events while delivering exceptional attendee experiences and ensuring every detail reflects the Berkley One brand.

 

In this highly visible role, you'll lead the planning and execution of agent, client, employee, and community events that showcase the Berkley One story and create meaningful connections. From intimate VIP gatherings to large-scale meetings and conferences, you'll be the driving force behind experiences that leave a lasting impression.

 

We're seeking a detail-oriented event professional who can seamlessly balance strategy, creativity, and flawless execution. This role will be based in our Chicago, IL office.  We offer a hybrid work schedule with 4 days in the office; and 1 day remote where it makes sense to do so.

We'll count on you to:

  • Lead the planning and execution of agent, client, employee, and community events from concept through completion
  • Translate business goals into engaging, brand-aligned experiences that deepen relationships and support growth objectives
  • Manage event timelines, project plans, communications, and stakeholder coordination to ensure flawless execution
  • Coordinate venues, vendors, catering, audiovisual needs, transportation, accommodations, materials, and on-site logistics
  • Oversee event budgets, invoices, and expense tracking while identifying opportunities to maximize value and efficiency
  • Manage registration platforms, attendee communications, RSVP tracking, event websites, and post-event follow-up
  • Partner with Marketing to develop creative event themes, invitations, presentations, signage, digital content, and branded materials
  • Serve as the primary point person for assigned events, proactively solving problems and ensuring an exceptional attendee experience
  • Support internal meetings and executive events, including town halls, All Hands meetings, and leadership presentations
  • Measure event success through attendance, engagement, stakeholder feedback, and budget performance
  • Analyze results and provide recommendations that continuously improve future programs
  • Research event trends, engagement strategies, and emerging technologies to bring fresh ideas and innovation to our event portfolio
  • Contribute to special marketing and brand initiatives as needed

Qualifications

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Hospitality, Event Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 3+ years of event planning, experiential marketing, program management, or related experience
  • Experience coordinating high-quality events within a premium, hospitality-focused, luxury, or client-centric environment
  • A proven ability to independently manage multiple events and projects simultaneously
  • Strong project management skills with experience overseeing vendors, budgets, logistics, and timelines
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
  • A customer-first mindset and passion for creating memorable experiences
  • Strong organizational skills, accountability, and attention to detail
  • Ability to travel as needed

The company offers a competitive compensation plan and robust benefits package for full time regular employees which for this role include: • Base Salary Range: $70,000 -$90,000 • Eligible to participate in annual discretionary bonus. • Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, Wellness, Paid Time Off, 401(k) and Profit-Sharing plans. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
