- Clean, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays
- Operate sterilization equipment including autoclaves and washer-disinfectors
- Follow AAMI, AORN, and OSHA guidelines for infection prevention and safety
- Maintain accurate records and ensure proper inventory management
- Communicate effectively with surgical and clinical staff
- Leadership roles include: Overseeing daily operations, mentoring staff, ensuring department compliance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
Qualifications
Sterile Processing Technician:
High School Diploma or GEDÂ
CRCST or CBSPD certification
Minimum 3 years of Sterile Processing experience
CRCST or CBSPD certification
An Associate's Degree is required for Supervisor, Manager, Director and Consultant Roles
CHL or CIS certification preferred
Minimum 6 years of Sterile Processing experience, including leadership responsibilities
Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and quality standards
