Position Highlights:

  • Position: Laboratory Assistant II
  • Location: Swedish Hospital
  • Full Time/Part Time: Part Time, 16 hours
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 11am-7:30pm, rotating weekends and holidays

What you will do:

  • Provide customer support as a liaison between laboratory and providers.
  • Specimen processing and handling according to established guidelines, protocol and procedures.
  • Record and document specimen information in Laboratory Information System.
  • Prepare and track specimen for transport to reference laboratories.
  • Maintain organized records, and are HIPPA compliant.
  • Maintain and clean laboratory equipment.
  • Assist with inventory control and supply ordering.
  • Adhere to all safety protocol and infection control measures, including the proper disposal of biohazardous materials.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards, including CAP.

What you will need:

  • Education: High school Diploma or equivalent
  • Certification: N/A
  • Experience: 1 year phlebotomy or laboratory experience
  • Unique or Preferred Skills: Strong customer service, communicate and organizational skills.
