What You Will Do:
As a Registered Nurse, you will:
- Provide professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and organizational policies
- Assess residents' conditions and recognize changes in health status
- Use clinical judgment and critical thinking to plan and evaluate care
- Monitor resident progress and document pertinent observations
- Delegate appropriate care tasks to other staff
- Collaborate with CNAs, Nurses, and leadership
- Build meaningful relationships with residents while providing person-centered care
Training and Support
New to intellectual and developmental disability nursing? That's okay. Misericordia provides ongoing training and professional development in ID/DD care and person-centered practices.Previous experience in I/DD nursing is not required.
Qualifications RN/ADN
- Associate's degree in Nursing or official transcripts
- Current Illinois RN license
- Good standing with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation
- Current BLS certification
BSN
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or official transcripts
- Current Illinois RN license
- Good standing with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation
- Current BLS certification
Schedule
Full-Time: 40 hours per week
Part-Time: 32 hours per week
Residential Settings
- Day: 7:00 AM-3:00 PM
- PM: 3:00 PM-11:00 PM
- Overnight: 11:00 PM-7:00 AM
Skilled Nursing Residence
- Day: 6:00 AM-2:00 PM
- PM: 2:00 PM-10:00 PM
- Overnight: 10:00 PM-6:00 AM
Pay
New Graduate Starting Rates
- ADN/RN: $36.50/hour
- BSN: $37.50/hour
Hourly Pay Range: $36.50-$48.00/hour
The hourly rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise, years of experience, and other factors.
Shift Differentials
- AM weekend: +$3/hour
- PM/Overnight Monday-Friday: +$3/hour
- PM/Overnight weekends: +$4/hour
