Job Posting: Production Scheduler                                     

Position Summary

REAMCO LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Production Scheduler to join our manufacturing team in Harpersville, Alabama. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role serves as a critical link between Sales and Production, ensuring that production schedules are realistic, achievable, and aligned with customer commitments. The Scheduler will play a key role in helping Sales establish accurate lead times when quoting proposals to customers, directly supporting our ability to win business while protecting our ability to deliver on time.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed production schedules across all active jobs and projects.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales to determine accurate, achievable lead times for customer proposals.
  • Partner with Engineering to understand manufacturing requirements, capacity constraints, and process timelines for switchboard and switchgear product lines.
  • Coordinate with Production leadership to sequence jobs based on priority, material availability, labor capacity, and equipment/resource constraints.
  • Monitor schedule adherence and proactively identify and communicate potential delays or bottlenecks.
  • Adjust and re-sequence schedules as priorities shift, orders change, or unforeseen issues arise.
  • Track order status and provide regular updates to Sales, Customers, and Production stakeholders.
  • Maintain scheduling data and reporting in ERP/MRP or scheduling software.
  • Support root-cause discussions when schedule slippage occurs and help implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in production planning meetings and provide input on capacity planning.
 
Qualifications & Skills
  • Four (4) + years of proven experience in production scheduling, planning, or a related role, ideally in a manufacturing or engineered-to-order environment.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with Sales, Engineering, and Production teams.
  • Experience in electrical switchgear, industrial manufacturing, or a similarly complex assembly environment strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities.
  • High attention to detail and comfort managing multiple concurrent projects/jobs.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Products, ERP systems, and scheduling tools (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Odoo, MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and process documentation is preferred.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field (business, supply chain, engineering) preferred, or equivalent experience.
