Dinsmore is seeking a Jr. Web Application Developer at our Cincinnati, OH location who is responsible for developing and maintaining web applications within Dinsmore & Shohl's development team. The Jr. Web Application Developer strives to ensure applications meet the business requirements established for any specific development projects. This position reports to the Director of Technology Innovation.

Responsibilities
Â
- Understand and resolve issues with existing applications
- Troubleshoot issues across the complete application lifecycle, including client-side applications, APIs, Azure services, IIS, SQL Server, authentication services, monitoring platforms, and integrations
- Work with various project members to determine requirements for new applications
- Design, develop, test, and maintain modern web applications and APIs using C#, ASP.NET Core, Blazor, and related Microsoft technologies
- Utilize SQL queries/stored procedures to manipulate stored data
- Evaluate 3rd party code and applications and integrate those into a solution where appropriate using firm's infrastructure and technology partners
- Participate in the development and deployment of cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure services
- Follow secure development practices, including authentication, authorization, vulnerability remediation, dependency management, and data protection requirements
- Participate in CI/CD processes through Azure DevOps and GitHub, including automated testing and deployment pipelines
- Test and deploy developed solutions
- Identify and escalate technical issues; take corrective actions to ensure long-term resolution
- Stay current on technology trends and make recommendations for upgrade paths of existing technologies
- Prepare and maintain high level system documentation
- Maintains positive contact with firm personnel and clients
- Observes confidentiality in all firm and client matters
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements
Â
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Possess a combination of formal education and technical educational track
- Knowledge of legal environment and applications a plus
- Be a contributing member in a team-oriented environment
- Have a good working knowledge of object-oriented concepts and application design principles
- Ability to communicate with management and end users in a non-technical manner
- Experience developing applications using:
- C#
- ASP.NET Core (.NET 8/9)
- REST APIs
- Blazor and/or modern JavaScript frameworks (React preferred)
- Object-oriented design principles
- Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code
- Ability to understand and maintain both legacy and modern applications, including:
- HTML
- CSS
- JavaScript / TypeScript
- ASP.NET applications
- JSON and REST APIs
- Legacy VB.NET applications where required
- Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems, specifically with IIS and Log Files
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL server, the ability to write SQL queries and use Enterprise Manager/Management Studio
- Experience with Git, GitHub, and/or Azure DevOps source control and CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of REST APIs, authentication mechanisms (OAuth/OpenID Connect), and system integrations
- Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, responsive design, and modern web application frameworks
