Job Summary
We are hiring an experienced Maintenance Technician III to keep manufacturing equipment operating safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on role focused on industrial maintenance, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, equipment repair, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting production equipment.
The Maintenance Technician III will also provide technical guidance and support to Maintenance Technician I and II team members. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience and is comfortable diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical problems in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing and production equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical circuits, controls, and production equipment
- Install, test, modify, and upgrade equipment and machinery
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documents
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and maintenance emergencies
- Perform equipment inspections and identify potential maintenance issues
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, forklifts, aerial lifts, and other maintenance equipment
- Assist with equipment installations and machinery upgrades
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Maintenance Technician I and II employees
- Support continuous improvement efforts focused on equipment reliability, safety, and production efficiency
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance work area
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Strong electrical troubleshooting experience
- Experience maintaining and repairing manufacturing or production equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits and industrial equipment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs
- Welding and fabrication experience preferred
- Experience with automation or automated manufacturing equipment is a plus
- Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance issues
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to less experienced maintenance technicians
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical school, vocational training, or maintenance-related certification is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work around machinery for extended periods
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally handle heavier materials with assistance
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with machinery, noise, varying temperatures, and elevated work areas
- Ability to operate forklifts, aerial lifts, and other maintenance vehicles as needed
