Digital Print Operator

Thomas Sign & Awning is looking for a Digital Print Operator.  This position supports our vinyl department and requires the operation of a Vutek or similar large format printer. 

Main Responsibilities include: 

• Setup of digital print production files 
• Operating a Vutek large format printer  
• Laminating graphics post-print  
• Occasional use of vinyl plotter  
• Writing up material requirements for vinyl & ink needs  
• Insuring the supply of ink and vinyl substrates meet production needs  
• Schedule all maintenance for machine as needed.  
• Occasionally assist vinyl department in application of graphics  

Requirements: 

• Experience operating a Vutek or similar large format printer 
• Experience with setup of digital print files, using RIP Software
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Experience in CorelDraw will be acceptable, we can provide Adobe Suite training onsite               
• Experience with applying vinyl graphics 
• Positive and professional attitude 
• Ability to work independently, with support from the team as needed
• Desire to continuously learn and improve skillset and keep up with the latest advancements in the digital printing industry
