Are you looking for an opportunity where you can grow your career in Talent Acquisition and eventually take on greater ownership and leadership?

Congressional Country Club is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Team Member Engagement (TME) team. This position will play an important role in attracting, identifying, selecting, and welcoming talented individuals who align with Congressional's culture and commitment to exceptional service.

This is an excellent opportunity for a talent acquisition professional who is ready to take ownership of the recruiting process while continuing to develop their skills. The successful individual will have the opportunity to grow within the Talent Acquisition function, with a potential career path toward a Talent Acquisition Manager role based on performance, demonstrated competencies, and organizational needs.

What Will You Do?

Talent Acquisition & Selection

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for assigned positions from job posting through selection and offer.

  • Partner with Selection Managers to understand staffing needs, position requirements, and the ideal candidate profile.

  • Develop engaging job postings that accurately represent the position and Congressional's culture.

  • Source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, professional networks, colleges, industry organizations, referrals, and other creative recruiting channels.

  • Review applications, resumes, assessments, and candidate qualifications to identify individuals who align with the position and Congressional's culture.

  • Conduct candidate screenings and participate in behavior-based and culture-focused interviews.

  • Coordinate and support Congressional's CCC FIT interview and selection process.

  • Present qualified candidates to Selection Managers and help maintain momentum throughout the selection process.

  • Conduct reference and background check processes as appropriate.

  • Prepare and extend offers in partnership with TME leadership and Selection Managers.

  • Maintain timely and professional communication with candidates throughout the selection process.

Candidate Experience & Employer Brand

  • Create a welcoming, responsive, and professional candidate experience from initial contact through selection and onboarding.

  • Serve as an ambassador for Congressional Country Club and communicate our culture, values, benefits, and Team Member experience.

  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for frequently selected and difficult-to-fill positions.

  • Support recruiting events, career fairs, college partnerships, community outreach, and other talent attraction initiatives.

  • Identify creative opportunities to strengthen Congressional's employer brand and expand our talent pipeline.

  • Develop relationships with schools, universities, professional organizations, community partners, and other recruiting resources.

  • Support the planning and coordination of Team Member events, including Summits, celebrations, parties, and other activities that highlight our culture, Core Values, and Habits.
  • Support Team Member recognition and milestones by helping coordinate things like flowers, cards, baby gifts, and other Team Member celebrations.

Recruiting Operations

  • Maintain accurate candidate records and recruiting activity within the Applicant Tracking System.

  • Monitor open positions and partner with Selection Managers to ensure appropriate and timely follow-up.

  • Track recruiting activity and assist with reporting on key talent acquisition metrics, including time-to-fill, candidate sources, selection activity, and recruiting effectiveness.

  • Support continuous improvement of Congressional's selection practices, tools, processes, and candidate communications.

  • Assist with onboarding and orientation activities to help create a smooth transition from candidate to Team Member.

  • Support additional Team Member Engagement initiatives and projects as needed.

How Will You Grow?

Congressional believes in developing talent from within.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will have opportunities to progressively take greater ownership of Congressional's Talent Acquisition function, including recruiting strategy, workforce planning, employer branding, recruiting analytics, Selection Manager development, and process improvement.

A Team Member who demonstrates strong performance, sound judgment, leadership capability, and mastery of the Talent Acquisition function may have the opportunity to progress toward a Talent Acquisition Manager role as the organization and function continue to evolve.

What Are We Looking For?

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Hospitality, Communications, or a related field preferred.

  • Approximately 2–4 years of recruiting, talent acquisition, HR, hospitality recruiting, or related experience preferred.

  • Experience managing multiple open positions and priorities simultaneously.

  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and online recruiting platforms preferred.

  • Strong interviewing, communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to build credibility and effective partnerships with managers at all levels.

  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.

  • Ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential information.

  • Creative and proactive approach to sourcing and attracting talent.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.

  • Hospitality, club, restaurant, hotel, culinary, golf, or high-volume recruiting experience is a plus.

  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or other HR/recruiting certification is a plus, but not required.

What Makes Someone Successful in This Role?

You will thrive in this position if you are:

  • A relationship builder who enjoys connecting with people.

  • Curious and willing to learn the business behind the positions you recruit for.

  • Organized enough to manage many moving pieces without losing the personal touch.

  • Comfortable communicating with candidates and leaders at every level.

  • Proactive rather than waiting for applicants to come to you.

  • Passionate about creating a great candidate experience.

  • Interested in building a career in Talent Acquisition and taking on greater responsibility over time.

  • Someone who understands that we are not simply filling positions-we are selecting Team Members who will strengthen Congressional's culture.
