Direct and supervise the the marine workforce, facilities and equipment for the safe and efficient transfer of materials between vessel and dock at the marine terminal. Direct and supervise loading and unloading vehicles.

What You Will Do
In charge of all site operations in the absence of Supervisrs
Monitor departmental production and maintenance
Assigns crew members to daily duties
Advise terminal management of progress toward objectives and develop strategies for necessary adjustments.
Ensure departmental production objectives are achieved and consistent with EHS, customer requirements and quality standards.
Develop, instruct, motivate the workforce in compliance with KM standards.
Recognize and promote ideas that provide safer, more efficient and cost effective operations.
Effectively interface with customer representatives, regulators, KM staff and others as required.
May be required to operate heavy equipment such as front end loaders, bulldozers, etc, as needed, in ship's hold if required.
Represents company and interacts with customers to facilitate daily operations.
Able to fill in as needed for most positions or tasks on site.
Conducts daily pre-shift Safety Meetings and employee training as needed.
Tracks employee tasks, reviews/ signs off on paperwork, writes daily production reports.

What You Need
High School Diploma or equivalent. A college degree is desirable.
Valid Drivers License is required.
Ability to obtain and maintain TWIC Security clearance is required.
Minimum of five years of successful work experience in the terminalling industry, specializing in the stevedoring of vessels is required.
A minimum of three years in a lead position or higher capacity is required.Â
Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communications to a diverse workforce.
Must demonstrate a familarity of the products, modes of transport, and methods of handling dry bulk materials.
Ability to accept direction and work effectively & cooperatively with other people.
Must be able to deal with rapidly changing circumstances and be able to manage accordingly.
Requires work in all types of weather conditions
Must be available to work all shifts and weekends
Minimal overnight travel.
Availability and periodic response to emergency situations on a 24/7 basis.
