Manufacturing Buyer 2 - Inventory

Responsible for converting sales forecasts and production plans into executable material purchases and re-buying.  The position is focused on material acquisition.  Will utilize experience and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for the team, and demonstrates leadership by communicating business goals, programs and processes.

• Identifying the material needs of the organization.
• Placing orders with suppliers
• Ensuring timely delivery of materials
• resolving invoice discrepancies
• Identifying and resolving key shortages or excess inventory

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Must have experience using a computer based materials resource planning and/or enterprise resource planning system such as JDE and MXP.
• Proficient Microsoft office - Excel and Word
• 2-4 years purchasing or buying experience in manufacturing environment.
