ResponsibilitiesÂ
The Whitley County Family YMCA is seeking an enthusiastic and attentive part-time Wellness Center Assistant to join our team to create a welcoming atmosphere that leaves a memorable impression on new and current members.Â
- Connect:Â Strong human relations skills and ability to communicate with participants and program staff.
- Support: Provide a level of service by connecting with members and their wellness goals, ensuring the safety of members using the facilities, and the ability to respond to emergency situations.
- Motivate:Â Â Orient members with the fitness equipment to ensure a safe and positive environment for the participants to succeed in their wellness goals. Â
RequirementsÂ
Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne as well as:
- Be at least 15 years old.
- Have reliable transportation to and from work
- Previous fitness certification and experience with basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology, along with wellness equipment is preferred.
- Ability to relate to, welcome and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences. Â
Salary: Part-time $11.85-$12.35 hourly
Hours Available:Â 12:00pm-5:00pm & 5:00pm-9:00pmÂ
