Job DetailsJob Location: Columbia - Columbia, TN 38401Education Level: NoneTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: First Shift 6a - 2:30pBasic Function: The Production Scheduler is responsible for planning/scheduling the workflow and resources allocated to the Value Added Department. This workflow includes orders routed through the Processing, Cable Manufacturing, Laser Marking, and Markers areas, and any other orders that require “value added” services. Responsibilities: Primarily responsible for the oversight of Laser Marking, Processing, Cable Manufacturing and Markers backlogs and recommending personnel/resources as needed to maintain/exceed on time delivery for all associated orders. Confers with Value Added Supervisors to align team members with production schedule. Primarily responsible for maintaining adequate inventory levels of raw and finished materials in the Processing and Markers area to support continued business. Also responsible for maintaining adequate inventory of finished kits (laser marking, special projects, etc.) to support customer demands when applicable. Primarily responsible for answering emails from WireMasters employees concerning orders. This also includes maintaining communication lines with sales staff regarding issues with orders, ship dates, production status, lead times/costs, and marker/material issues, as well as rerouting orders through other sites as necessary. Primarily responsible for paperwork (PWO/Pull Sheet creation/Printing) and material transfer if needed for all Processing and Cable Manufacturing orders. These steps are to be followed per the Quality and Operating procedure manual. Responsible for due date maintenance, backlog comment update, combining orders and cleaning instructions in Rubicon for all Processing and Cable Manufacturing orders. Works together with Manufacturing Engineer to schedule production based on process capacity. Primarily responsible maintaining adequate inventory levels on all processing supplies which include processing inks, extender, MEK, PPE, Print Wheels, lab miscellaneous and Marker room supplies. Communicates effectively and participates as a team player. Studies production schedules and estimates work hour requirements for completion of job assignments. Brings up ideas and implements improvements. Actively participates in continuous improvement projects. Document processes as needed. All other duties assigned by WireMasters Management.
