At Southwest Foodservice Excellence (SFE), you'll have the opportunity to influence menus, improve participation, and ensure compliance across K-12 school nutrition programs—all while working alongside a team dedicated to serving healthy, high-quality meals to students every day.

You Will:

  • As the Registered Dietitian, you'll partner with district leadership and school teams to ensure successful, compliant, and innovative meal programs by:
    • Developing USDA-compliant menus that maximize commodity utilization, control food costs, and increase student participation.
    • Ensuring all breakfast, lunch, snack, and summer meal programs meet USDA, state, and local regulations.
    • Conducting site reviews and audits to evaluate compliance and implement corrective action plans.
    • Managing menu analysis, nutritional documentation, production records, and compliance reporting.
    • Supporting students with medically required special diets, food allergies, and dietary accommodations.
    • Training school nutrition teams on menu software, recipe management, production records, and nutrition standards.
    • Planning and supporting student engagement initiatives including taste tests, farmers markets, health fairs, and nutrition promotions.
    • Providing nutrition education and resources for students, families, and school staff.
    • Assisting the General Manager with operational initiatives that improve meal quality, participation, and program performance.
    • Traveling throughout the assigned district to provide onsite support and guidance.

You Have:

  • What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
    • Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential with an active license in good standing.
    • Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned school district.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience in K-12 school nutrition, healthcare, foodservice, or institutional dining.
    • Experience with USDA Child Nutrition Programs and menu planning.
    • Knowledge of menu analysis software and production record systems.
