Role Overview:

The Director of Data & Organizational Performance is a new senior leadership role responsible for building and leading the Alliance's enterprise approach to data, analytics, governance, reporting, operational systems, and performance management. This position is designed for a strategic leader who is energized by transforming information into action, aligning systems with organizational priorities, and helping teams use data to improve performance and outcomes. Reporting to the Chief Operating & Financial Officer, the Director serves as the bridge between organizational operations, technology platforms, and executive decision-making. The role establishes governance structures, reporting standards, business intelligence capabilities, and operational processes that improve accountability, increase efficiency, and ensure leaders have access to timely, accurate, and meaningful information. The Director will lead organization-wide efforts to strengthen analytics, oversee key operational systems, develop enterprise reporting frameworks, and advance a culture of continuous improvement. Working closely with programs, finance, human resources, marketing, member services, and executive leadership, this individual will ensure that the Alliance's systems and data assets support both daily operations and long-term strategy. This role represents a unique opportunity to shape how the Alliance measures success, manages information, and leverages technology in support of children, families, providers, and communities across Ohio.

  • Increase organizational effectiveness through standardized reporting, trusted metrics, and business intelligence tools.
  • Improve cross-functional collaboration through consistent information, shared definitions, and common performance measures.
  • Strengthen accountability, transparency, and strategic decision-making across the Alliance.
  • Position the Alliance as a data-informed statewide leader serving children and families.

 

Data Strategy, Governance & Compliance

Develop and lead enterprise governance frameworks, establish stewardship responsibilities, define reporting standards, improve data quality, and ensure consistent organizational definitions and metrics. Promote data privacy, security, governance, risk mitigation, and compliance with applicable standards and policies.

Analytics, Reporting & Decision Support

Develop and oversee dashboards, KPIs, scorecards, executive reporting, forecasting, and business intelligence tools that provide actionable insights and support strategic decision-making.

Systems & Business Operations Leadership

Oversee the strategic alignment and optimization of CRM, AMS, reporting platforms, integrations, and operational systems in partnership with technical vendors and stakeholders. Serve as a trusted advisor and partner across departments, ensuring data and systems strategies support business and programmatic needs.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

Lead organizational performance measurement efforts, outcomes tracking, evaluation frameworks, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership

Build and lead a high-performing team while serving as a trusted partner to departments, leadership, and external stakeholders to advance data-informed decision-making across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business, Public Administration, or related field; Master's preferred.
  • Seven or more years of progressive experience in analytics, business intelligence, reporting, systems administration, operations, or related leadership functions.
  • Three or more years of people leadership experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with KPI development, reporting systems, and data visualization.
  • Experience implementing governance frameworks, cross-functional processes, enterprise reporting standards, and organizational performance management approaches.
  • Ability to communicate complex information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience within nonprofit, association, healthcare, behavioral health, public sector, or human services environments preferred.
