We are looking for an experienced Food & Beverage Director who can lead a high-performing team, deliver exceptional dining experiences, and bring Senior Star’s Top in Class standards to life throughout our dining rooms and kitchen.

This leader will oversee all food and beverage operations, including culinary quality, dining service, staffing, sanitation, purchasing, inventory, budgets, and the overall resident and guest experience.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the kitchen and dining teams in delivering a consistently high-quality, hospitality-driven dining experience.
• Recruit, train, coach, and retain a team that takes pride in creating Legendary Hospitality for residents and guests.
• Ensure meals meet Senior Star standards for quality, presentation, taste, and service.
• Build strong relationships with residents and use their feedback to continually elevate the dining experience.
• Oversee purchasing, inventory, food costs, budgets, meal cost reporting, and vendor relationships.
• Maintain high standards for sanitation, food safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with community leadership and other departments to create memorable special events and resident experiences.
• Take ownership of department performance and continuously look for opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and service.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 5 years of food service experience, including leadership or management experience.
• Senior living, hospitality, healthcare, or upscale dining experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food costs, budgets, purchasing, inventory, productivity, and receiving.
• Active SERV Safe Certification
• Strong understanding of sanitation, food safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to build, coach, and retain a strong team.
• A leader who is organized, accountable, and results-focused.
• Someone who takes pride in creating an exceptional experience for residents and guests.
• A genuine desire to improve the lives of seniors and embrace the Senior Star mission and culture.
