Job Description

If you are a problem solver, strategic thinker, possess analytical skills and have a passion for small businesses then a role as a Large Segment Strategy Support Manager is for you.

As the Large Segment Strategy Support Manager – Vice President in Business Banking you will own and drive the Large Segment strategy across new Large, Large, and Enterprise sub-segments. You will translate segment priorities into a roadmap and an executable portfolio of initiatives that improve acquisition, primacy, deepening, and retention—while increasing the value of the banker and improving overall segment economics.

In this VP role, you will operate as a strategic leader – identifying opportunities and friction points, shaping solutions, building business cases, defining outcomes and ensuring delivery against OKRs / KPIs through strong governance and executive communication.  This role partners closely with Data & Analytics, Design, Finance, Marketing, SMB CFX, Product, and Consumer & Community Banking Strategy to ensure priorities are aligned, measurable, and delivered with strong governance and executive-ready communication. You will also manage a team of Associates responsible for sub-segment strategy and related product/service strategy support.

Job Responsibilities

  • Own L1 Large Segment strategy across sub-segments (New Large, Large, Enterprise), ensuring clear priorities, strategic direction, and alignment to business objectives and OKRs.

  • Translate strategy into a sub-segment roadmap driving prioritization, sequencing, dependency management, milestones, and clear strategy to execution handoffs.

  • Lead cross-functional execution from strategy to delivery, to deliver measurable gains in acquisition, primacy, retention, and product deepening; align partners and hold a strong operating cadence from plan to launch to optimization.

  • Identify issues and high-impact opportunities using structured problem-solving, design solutions across priority themes and quantify impact and feasibility.

  • Develop business cases and initiative briefs that define the “why,” “what,” and “how” including value hypotheses, investment trade-offs, risk considerations, and expected financial/customer outcomes.

  • Monitor results and diagnose friction points, adjusting approach via test-and-learn initiatives; translate client and banker needs into clear product requirements and prioritization to improve product performance.

  • Drive executive-ready governance and communication, including executive updates with performance insights, progress vs. plan, risks, decisions required, and recommended next actions; ensure outcome definitions per initiative are clear and tracked.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.

  • 7+ years of experience in strategy, business banking, commercial banking, consulting, product strategy, and/or program leadership (or equivalent).

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives from concept through launch and optimization, influencing without direct authority.

  • Strong strategic thinking, prioritization, and roadmap skills—able to translate broad strategic priorities into actionable roadmaps, initiatives, milestones and operating cadence.

  • Proven capability in data-driven problem solving, including comfort interpreting performance metrics, identifying root causes, and driving decisions from insights.

  • Experience building business cases and impact sizing (financial, customer, operational), including trade-offs across feasibility, risk and time-to-value.

  • Excellent people leadership and communication skills, including managing junior talent and producing executive-ready narratives, updates, and recommendations.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience supporting a banker-led sales organization, including initiatives tied to frontline productivity and profitability

  • Experience with Large/Enterprise client segments and/or sub-segment strategies

  • Familiarity with experimentation / test-and-learn methods and leveraging AI enabled tools to accelerate planning and execution.
