Maintenance Director - The Grand of Dublin. We are currently seeking a full-time Director for our maintenance department. Optalis offers great benefits, Health, Dental, Vision, STD, LTD, life insurance, generous PTO time and paid holidays.

The Director of Maintenance oversees facility maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with Life Safety Code, OSHA, CMS, and state regulations. This role supervises maintenance staff, coordinates preventive maintenance programs, and ensures the facility is safe, functional, and survey-ready. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Supervise maintenance staff and assign daily work orders.
  • Plan and perform preventive maintenance for facility equipment and systems.
  • Oversee vendor/contractor work for repairs and projects.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and life safety standards.
  • Assist Administrator in preparing department budgets and monitoring expenses.
  • Support emergency preparedness and disaster response programs.

Skills & Competencies 

  • Knowledge of maintenance practices, safety codes, and healthcare facility regulations.
  • Leadership and supervisory abilities.
  • Organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication and teamwork abilities.

Required: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in maintenance leadership role, preferably in healthcare facility.

Preferred: 

  • Certification or vocational training in maintenance or skilled trades.

Physical & Work Requirements 

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 80 lbs with assistance).
  • Ability to climb ladders, access tight spaces, and work in varying environmental conditions.
