Position Summary: 

The Scheduler/Central Supply ensures appropriate nursing staff are scheduled to meet resident care needs and regulatory requirements. This role manages the clinical master schedule, tracks attendance, oversees agency usage, and provides clerical support to the Nursing Department. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop, maintain, and adjust master staffing schedules based on census and budget.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility staffing regulations.
  • Track and secure coverage for open shifts, vacations, and call-offs.
  • Maintain staffing records, attendance logs, and PBJ reporting.
  • Collaborate with HR/Payroll Coordinator on timekeeping, PTO, and personnel changes.
  • Communicate staffing updates to nursing leadership and facility administration.
  • Monitor and report agency usage and verify hours worked.
  • Support survey readiness by maintaining accurate staffing documentation.

Skills & Competencies 

  • Organizational and scheduling skills.

Required: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with staffing and scheduling in healthcare environment.

Preferred: 

  • Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing setting.
  • Successful completion of a nurse aide training and competency evaluation program approved by the State, within 4 months of date of hire; or successful completion of a State approved nurse aide training and competency evaluation program and no break in service of 24 months or longer.
  • Acceptable verification of training and competency evaluation from the State Nurse Aide Registry concerning abuse, neglect, mistreatment of residents or misappropriation of resident's property

Physical & Work Requirements
