The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction is looking for dedicated students to fill the position of a temporary聽Behavioral Health College Intern.聽

THIS IS A TEMPORARY UNCLASSIFIED POSITION WITH A RANGE OF 10 - 40 PER WEEK.聽LENGTH OF EMPLOYMENT AND NUMBER OF HOURS WORKED WILL DETERMINE ELIGIBILITY FOR SELECT BENEFITS.聽

Based upon the individual鈥檚 school requirements and under the training and supervision of the Behavioral Health Operation,聽聽a few of the meaningful tasks the successful candidate may assist with include:

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Screening offenders for mental health symptoms聽聽

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Developing treatment plans and participating in multi-disciplinary teams

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Providing evidence based group therapy

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Meeting with incarcerated individuals and documenting encounters using a SOAP note format

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assisting in re-entry planning through dialogue, referrals, and skill-building practices

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Psychological testing

Minimum 聽Qualification

MUST BE ACCEPTED TO A COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY AND IN GOOD STANDING IN ONE OF THE FOLLOWING FIELDS:

Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or Related Field

You will be required to produce official documentation from your college, if selected.

Experience working with Microsoft Office
