Saur Construction is currently seeking a dedicated, hardworking individual to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for assisting the mechanics department with any appropriate duties. To succeed in this role, you should be physically and mentally fit.

Our ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and a focus on increasing efficiency and accountability. It is equally important that they be willing and able to learn new skills and knowledge within the heavy equipment and earthmoving company. Duties include parts running as directed by the mechanics, and general labor within the shop.

Job responsibilities and duties include:

  • Assist mechanic in repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment
  • Carry tools and equipment to and from storage and work areas
  • Assist in keeping work area clean
  • Oil and grease machines
  • Clean machines with a steam cleaner, solvent, and wiping rags to prepare for repairs
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Punctual and dependable
  • Valid state driver's license required
  • Able to work in a team and produce quality work under tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills
  • Initiative and strong analytical skills
  • Diligence, prioritization skills, and time management
  • Adaptive learner with a positive attitude
