Millwright

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Millwright to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing a wide range of industrial machinery and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production.

This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically skilled professional who enjoys troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Shifts available: Continental Days or Days/Afternoons- Monday to Friday

Salary: 50$/h ++ 

***This position is 20% outdoors*** 

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical-related equipment issues.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and complete repairs quickly and effectively to minimize production downtime.
  • Install, align, level, and commission new machinery and production equipment.
  • Perform equipment rebuilds, modifications, and mechanical installations.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, manuals, and schematics.
  • Conduct inspections and identify potential equipment issues before failures occur.
  • Complete welding, fabrication, machining, and other mechanical repairs as required.
  • Lubricate machinery and maintain equipment according to established maintenance schedules.
  • Assist with equipment moves, installations, and plant improvement projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
  • Work closely with production and maintenance teams to prioritize equipment repairs and minimize downtime.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures related to health and safety, lockout/tagout, and preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications

  • 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) license is preferred/required.
  • 3+ years of experience working as a Millwright in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.
  • Experience with bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, motors, and other industrial equipment.
  • Welding and fabrication experience is an asset.
  • Electrical troubleshooting experience is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance practices.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a maintenance team.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety.
