What You'll Do

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, coordinate and provide center and community based group activities designed to engage client interests while addressing their treatment goals.   
  2. Coordinate with other regional group coordinators to create multi county group events for consumers.
  3. Develop and acquire curriculum and materials for use in psychosocial group therapy, ensuring use of evidence based materials as part of the process.
  4. Monitor and document client progress in Pawnee’s electronic health record in a timely manner.
  5. Review client incidents with supervisor and submit written report as outlined in policy and procedure.
  6. Advocate for client rights and community integration. Preserve dignity and confidentiality of each person on caseload.
  7. Perform verbal and, if necessary, physical behavior management interventions as outlined in the treatment plan.
  8. Enter and maintain clinical schedule in Pawnee’s electronic health record scheduler.
  9. Coordinate and provide transportation to clients to group activities as needed.
  10. Attend and actively participate in clinical supervision and program staffing. Provide input to supervisors and other treatment team members regarding clinical and program issues.
  11. Maintain and advance knowledge and skills related specifically to position or to field of work through regular review of pertinent materials and participation in training events as approved by supervisor.
  12. Adhere to the standards, policies and instructions established by PMHS Policy and Procedure and any applicable ethical codes within field of employment.
  13. Review and comply with the Pawnee Code of Conduct outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  14. Perform all other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or other management personnel.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a human service field or equivalent work experience, or a combination of work experience in the human services field and education with one year of experience substituting for one year of education
  • Strong oral and written communication skills using the English language
  • Basic personal computer skills which enable the entry, retrieval and use of electronic data
  • A valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance maintained in accordance with Pawnee policy and procedure

 

All employees will be required to submit to and pass a background check and drug screening.

 

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of the needs and challenges of individuals who experience mental illness and their families
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software
