Position Overview
R.J. Kielty is seeking a dependable and experienced Electrical Installer to join our New Construction Electrical Division. This position is responsible for installing residential electrical systems according to approved plans, NEC requirements, local codes, and company quality standards.
The ideal candidate is hardworking, safety-focused, and able to work efficiently as part of a new construction electrical team.
What You’ll Do
- Install electrical systems in new residential construction
- Complete rough-ins, trims, and final electrical installations
- Install wiring, electrical panels, breakers, switches, receptacles, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components
- Read and follow electrical plans, specifications, and job instructions
- Ensure all work meets NEC requirements, local codes, and company quality standards
- Identify and report jobsite issues to the Lead Electrical Supervisor
- Coordinate with supervisors, builders, inspectors, and other trades
- Maintain tools, materials, equipment, and assigned work areas
- Keep jobsites clean, organized, and safe
- Complete assigned work accurately and within scheduled timelines
- Represent R.J. Kielty professionally on every jobsite
Requirements
- Previous new construction electrical experience preferred
- Working knowledge of residential electrical systems and installation practices
- Ability to read electrical plans and construction documents
- Familiarity with NEC requirements and local electrical codes
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and electrical testing equipment
- Reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Valid Florida driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Clean and professional appearance
- Ability to perform the physical duties required for residential construction work
