Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Reception Screening in Montrose, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a government location, you will serve as a welcoming, professional presence, assisting visitors, managing access, monitoring entry activity, and responding to security-related concerns. You will use strong communication and customer service skills to help maintain an orderly environment while representing Allied Universal’s caring culture, integrity, teamwork, reliability, agility, and innovation.

Pay Rate: $22.12 - $23.12 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and veterans by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, front-desk policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Greet visitors professionally, verify identification and authorization as required, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access and visitor records.
• Monitor entry activity, answer and direct incoming calls, provide general information, and communicate concerns to appropriate site personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established procedures.
• Maintain awareness of front-desk operations and report unusual activity, access concerns, and security-related issues to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
