Job DetailsJob Location: Remote - Cottage Grove, WI 53527QA Inspector (ICC Certified) – Commercial Building Codes/Modular Construction Remote within North Carolina | Regional Travel | Up to 25% Overnight Travel Help Raise the Standard for Modular Construction Quality PFS TECO, an NFPA Global Solutions Company, is expanding our Manufactured Structures team and is seeking experienced ICC-certified Quality Auditors who are passionate about building code compliance, construction quality, and working directly with manufacturers. This role offers the opportunity to apply your inspection and code expertise while supporting manufacturers throughout your assigned territory. You'll spend much of your time visiting local manufacturing facilities, building strong relationships with customers, and ensuring products meet the highest standards for quality and code compliance. While travel is a regular part of the position, most travel is local, with overnight travel averaging up to 25%. What You'll Do As a Quality Auditor, you will: Conduct quality assurance audits and inspections at manufacturing facilities within your assigned territory. Evaluate manufacturer quality control programs and verify compliance with applicable building codes, certification procedures, and approved plans. Review production records, inspection documentation, and quality management systems. Identify non-conformances, recommend corrective actions, and verify their completion. Prepare detailed audit reports and communicate findings with manufacturer leadership. Build trusted relationships with customers by providing technical guidance and maintaining consistent communication. Stay current on International Codes, industry standards, and certification requirements. Travel regularly throughout your local territory, with occasional overnight travel (up to approximately 25%). QualificationsWhat We're Looking For ICC Certifications ICC Commercial Building Inspector (B2) ICC Commercial Electrical Inspector (E2) ICC Commercial Plumbing Inspector (P2) ICC Commercial Mechanical Inspector (M2) ICC Commercial Energy Inspector (IECC) Qualifications Minimum two years of experience in commercial construction, code enforcement, quality assurance, building inspection, or a related field. Strong working knowledge of the International Building Code (IBC) and related ICC codes. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, engineering documents, and specifications. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple projects. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Valid driver's license with the ability to travel regularly within an assigned territory and up to 25% overnight. Preferred Qualifications Experience with modular, manufactured, or off-site construction. Experience auditing quality management systems. Additional ICC certifications.
